Event:  First ever Youth Center Fish Derby

Date:    October 9th, 2010

Time:    Starts at 09:00 a.m.

              Last Fish taken at 12:30 p.m. Prizes awarded at 12:45

Where:  Madison Lake

Transportation:  Transportation will leave the Armory at 8:30, returning around 1:30 p.m.

Who is invited:  Anyone old enough to hold a fishing pole

Cost:  Free for ages 8 and under

              $2.00 for ages 9 - 17

              $5.00 for ages 18 and up 

Note:  We will run a 50/50 for largest Bass $10.00

 Equipment:  If you have fishing poles please bring your own.  If anyone has extra and can bring it on the day for others to borrow that would be appreciated.  We will try to have bait (worms) for all age participants 17 and under, and ask those 18 and up to bring their own

Sign-up:  Sign-up will be taken on the day, you must register before catching your first fish, and only fish from Madison Lake will be eligble to win prizes.  Last registration will be taken at 12:00.

Prizes:  $50 Nike gift card for largest (longest) fish, depending on if we can get sponsorship we'll also try to give other prizes/as many as possible.

Why:  To enjoy the fresh air and outdoors, to have some fun before it get's too cold.

Remember:  The worst day fishing is better than the best day at work or in school.
